About tangble

tangble is an independently owned product studio operated by an individual / sole proprietor, building focused software for thoughtful work. Our products include WordPress tools, structured data systems, and SaaS applications — all designed with clarity, performance, and user ownership in mind.

This privacy policy applies to tangble and all products and services we offer, including Papr, Pottr, and any future tools we release. We believe in plain language, so we've kept this policy simple, transparent, and direct.

Our approach to privacy

Privacy is not an afterthought at tangble — it shapes how we build. Across all our products, we follow the same core principles:

  • We do not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking for advertising purposes. Where a website or product uses analytics or other tracking technologies, we disclose that use and explain its purpose.
  • We do not sell, monetize, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We collect only what is necessary to operate a specific feature or service.
  • Wherever possible, your data stays on your own infrastructure — not ours.

This website (tangble.com)

We do not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking for advertising purposes on this website. The Pottr website uses Microsoft Clarity for behavioral analytics, including understanding how visitors interact with the site through features such as heatmaps and session recordings.

We do not intentionally collect personal information from visitors browsing tangble.com. The only direct interactions that involve personal information voluntarily provided by you are when you submit your email address to an early-access waitlist or when you choose to contact us directly via email. Analytics information collected through Microsoft Clarity on the Pottr website is handled separately as described in the Cookies and tracking section below.

Waitlist and email collection

Pottr currently offers an early-access waitlist on this website. When you submit your email address through the waitlist form, here is exactly how your information is handled:

  • What we collect: We collect your email address only. We do not collect your name or any additional personal details through the waitlist.
  • Why we collect it: We use your email address solely to notify you about early access and relevant product updates for the product you signed up for. We do not use waitlist email addresses for general marketing.
  • How it is processed and stored: Waitlist submissions are routed through Google Apps Script and stored in a private Google Sheet, with access restricted to authorised people operating tangble. Google Apps Script and Google Sheets are third-party services used to process and store this information.
  • What we will not do: We do not sell, monetize, or share your email address with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
  • Data retention: We keep waitlist email addresses only for as long as reasonably necessary to notify you about the product you signed up for, unless you ask us to remove your information sooner.

You can request the removal and deletion of your email address at any time by emailing us at hello@tangble.com with the subject line "Remove me".

Papr — WordPress writing editor

Papr is a calm, distraction-free writing editor for WordPress, available on the WordPress Plugin Directory. It connects a WordPress plugin to a web app at papr.tangble.com, letting you write and manage your WordPress content in a focused environment.

What Papr accesses: When you use Papr, the web app accesses your WordPress content — posts, pages, and related data — through the standard WordPress REST API. It also reads your site URL to establish the connection.

How your data is handled: Your content is processed entirely in your browser. Everything you write travels directly between your browser and your WordPress site — tangble does not store your content on our servers. WordPress remains the source of truth; Papr is simply a window into your own site.

Authentication: Papr uses a connection token stored in your browser's local storage to authenticate requests directly with your WordPress site. This token is never sent to tangble's servers.

Disconnecting: You can disconnect Papr at any time by removing the plugin from WordPress or clearing local storage for papr.tangble.com. All content remains on your WordPress installation.

Pottr

Pottr is a WordPress plugin that provides application capabilities for WordPress sites.

How your data is handled: Pottr runs within your WordPress environment. The application data you manage with Pottr remains within your WordPress installation and infrastructure as part of its normal operation. tangble does not collect or store that application data simply because you install or use Pottr.

Waitlist collection: If you sign up for the Pottr early-access waitlist on this website, your email address is handled separately as described in the Waitlist and email collection section above.

Other products and services

tangble builds and releases software tools beyond Papr and Pottr. For any product we offer — whether a WordPress plugin, a web application, or a developer tool — we apply the same privacy principles outlined in this policy.

Where a specific product has additional privacy considerations, those will be documented within that product's own settings or documentation. This policy serves as the baseline that all tangble products are held to.

Cookies and tracking

tangble does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, behavioural tracking for advertising purposes, or advertising networks across this website or our products. The only browser storage used by our products is what is strictly necessary for core functionality — such as an authentication token stored in local storage for Papr — and this is documented within the relevant product.

We use Microsoft Clarity on the Pottr website to understand how visitors interact with the site and to improve the user experience. Clarity provides behavioral analytics features such as heatmaps and session recordings.

Clarity may collect information about visitor interactions and may use first-party and third-party cookies and other technologies for analytics and session functionality. Microsoft processes this information as part of providing the Clarity service.

Where applicable, Clarity's analytics tracking is subject to your cookie consent and preferences.

For more information about how Microsoft handles data, please review Microsoft's Clarity cookie documentation, Microsoft's Consent Mode documentation, and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Third-party services

tangble designs its products to communicate directly with your own infrastructure (such as your WordPress installation) wherever possible, rather than routing product content or application data through tangble-controlled servers.

Where limited third-party services are necessary to operate a specific service, we disclose them clearly:

  • Waitlist processing: Submissions to the Pottr early-access waitlist on this website are processed via Google Apps Script and stored in a private Google Sheet, with access restricted to authorised people operating tangble. Google processes this waitlist submission data solely to operate the sheet and script, and does not receive any Pottr application data from customer WordPress installations.
  • Website analytics: Microsoft Clarity is used on the Pottr website for behavioral analytics, including understanding visitor interactions through features such as heatmaps and session recordings. Further details are provided in the Cookies and tracking section above.

If any product or service introduces additional third-party integrations, those will be clearly disclosed within the product's documentation or settings.

Your rights and data ownership

You own your content. Whether it lives on your WordPress site, your own database, or your own infrastructure, tangble does not claim ownership of anything you create or manage using our tools.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. If you have questions about what data tangble holds about you, or if you would like to request its correction or removal, please reach out to us at hello@tangble.com.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, or data practices. When updates are made, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
